Hon. Ravindra Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (2)
(a) Will he state —
(i) the number of graduate trainees who were recruited in 1999 for enhancing the capacity to implement the priority functions of the Government;
(ii) the date on which the said trainees were confirmed in their service;
(iii) the name of the institution that issued the instructions/circular for confirming them in their service;
(iv) the course of action that was followed in that regard; and
(v) whether a copy of the said letter of instructions /circular will be tabled?
(b) Will he also state —
(i) the number of those that were confirmed in their service, out of the said graduates in terms of each line ministry, provincial ministry, department and institution, and in terms of each category of posts, separately;
(ii) the respective starting salary, salary scale and salary code of each of the said categories of posts, separately;
(iii) whether service minutes / schemes of recruitments have been prepared for the graduates concerned after confirming them in their service;
(iv) if so, the year in which those were prepared;
(v) whether copies of the said documents will be tabled;
(vi) if service minutes/ schemes of recruitments have not been prepared, the reasons for it; and
(vii) the procedure for promoting the said officers according to the service minutes?
(c) If not, why?
