Hon. Sunil Rathnasiri,— To ask the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development,— (2)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of plastic manufacturing factories in Sri Lanka;
(ii) separately, of the annual production volumes of plastic and polythene in Sri Lanka;
(iii) of the measures that have been taken to minimize the use of plastic and polythene; and
(iv) whether attention has been paid regarding the quality of plastic food packaging, intended for young children?
(b) If not, why?
