Hon. Rajeevan Jeyachandramoorthy,— To ask the Minister of Justice and National Integration,— (2)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether the Government has introduced or intends to introduce any specific forms of assistance such as financial compensation, medical support or rehabilitation programmes for victims of mob violence and their families in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the current status of implementation of any such support schemes across the districts or provinces where incidents of mob violence have occured; and
(iii) whether any circulars, guidelines or policy frameworks have been issued to Provincial Councils or District Secretariats to ensure timely support and long-term assistance to such victims?
(b) If not, why?
