0972/2025: DIVISIONAL HOSPITALS IN JAFFNA AND KILINOCHCHI DISTRICTS: DETAILS

Hon. Rajeevan Jeyachandramoorthy,—To ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media,— (1)

(a) Will he state —

(i) the number of government divisional hospitals in Jaffna and Kilinochchi districts;

(ii) the approved and the actual cadre of doctors, nurses and other employees of each of the hospitals, separately;

(iii) the measures taken to fill those vacancies;

(iv) whether there are vacancies for pharmacists in hospitals in above districts;

(v) the date on which those vacancies are filled;

(vi) the date on which the appointments will be given, whereas no appointments have been given although interviews have been conducted for recruiting pharmacists;

(vii) whether there are vacancies for ambulance drivers in the above hospitals; and

(viii) the date on which those vacancies will be filled?

(b) Will he also state —

(i) whether the Welanai Divisional Hospital in Jaffna has been placed to Grade B;

(ii) the date on which it will take effect;

(iii) the number of approved employees and the actual number of employees serving in that hospital at present according to the grading, separately;

(iv) whether laboratory facilities and staffs have been provided according to the grading; and

(v) if not, the measures that will be taken to provide them?

(c) If not, why?
