Hon. Mayilvaganam Jegatheeswaran,— To ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of employees required to be in the cadre of a Government Regional Hospital, separately in respect of each position;
(ii) of the number of Government Regional Hospitals situated in Vavuniya, Mannar and Mullaitivu Districts, separately in respect of each district;
(iii) of the names of the hospitals referred to above;
(iv) whether nurses who have received permanent appointments in aforesaid hospitals are currently serving in the hospitals concerned;
(v) if not, of the reasons for that; and
(vi) of the solutions that will be provided regarding that?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether the Puthukkudiyiruppu Regional Hospital of the Mullaitivu District has been upgraded to a base hospital;
(ii) if so, of the date of the upgrade; and
(iii) of the number of employees approved for the aforesaid hospital as per the classification of the hospital and, of the number of employees currently serving there, separately in respect of each position?
(c) If not, why?
