Hon. Nishantha Perera,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that the Land Reform Commission has alienated lands to employees of the Commission under special privileges;
(ii) if so, of the number of employees that have been granted with lands in such manner;
(iii) whether he will present a full report pertaining to it;
(iv) of the legal basis of alienating lands to employees of the Land Reform Commission under special privileges;
(v) whether there is a possibility to sell or transfer the lands so alienated to other parties;
(vi) of the number of lands sold or transferred to other parties out of those lands received under special privileges;
(vii) of the measures to be taken concerning the sale or transfer of such lands to other parties?
(b) If not, why?
