Hon. Susantha Kumara Nawarathna,—To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of regional workshops owned by the Sri Lanka Transport Board;
(ii) of the areas where the workshops concerned have been established;
(iii) whether he is aware that a proposal had been made to start a tyre manufacturing factory within the Medawachchiya Regional Workshop of Sri Lanka Transport Board;
(iv) if so, of the amount that had been allocated for that; and
(v) of its progress as at 28th February 2025?
(b) If not, why?
