Hon. Susantha Kumara Nawarathna,—To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) year in which the North Central Great Canal Project was initiated;
(ii) number of phases that comprise the said project;
(iii) districts that will be covered by the said project; and
(iv) expected benefits of the said project?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether he admits that the project concerned could not be completed within the scheduled time;
(ii) of the year in which the project was scheduled to be completed;
(iii) of the reasons for not been able to complete the project within the scheduled time; and
(iv) of the present physical progress and financial progress of the said project, separately?
(c) If not, why?
