Hon. (Prof.) L.M. Abeywickrama,—To ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the measures that were taken in the year 2025 to control the stray dog population;
(ii) whether steps will be taken to prevent dogs and puppies raised in households from being brought and abandoned on roads and public places; and
(iii) of the measures that will be taken to minimize dog bites and road accidents caused by the increase in the stray dog population?
(b) If not, why?
