Hon. Kins Nelson,—To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) date on which the Cabinet of Ministers decided to implement a concessional loan scheme for small and medium scale rice mill owners;
(ii) objectives of implementing the said loan scheme;
(iii) criteria that are considered in granting loans under the said loan scheme;
(iv) names of each of the rice mill owners who have obtained loans under the said loan scheme so far and of the loan amounts obtained by them separately; and
(v) methodology that will be adopted in monitoring whether the loans obtained by the said rice mill owners are being utilized properly?
(b) If not, why?
