Hon. Lal Premanath,— To ask the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of training centres that are run by the National Youth Services Council in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the number of training centres situated in Matara District;
(iii) of the number of training centres situated within the Akuressa Divisional Secretariat Division;
(iv) of the number of training centres situated within the Athuraliya Divisional Secretariat Division;
(v) whether a building of one such centre that is abandoned after its construction halted halfway, has been informed of;
(vi) of the reasons for halting the construction of the building concerned halfway; and
(vii) of the plans in place to renovate that building and use it for the benefit of the youth community?
(b) If not, why?
