Hon. Rohitha Abeygunawardhana,— To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of interchanges established on the Southern Expressway;
(ii) of the distance between the Gelanigama interchange and the Dodangoda interchange on that Expressway;
(iii) whether lands have been acquired by now to construct the Palpola interchange;
(iv) if so, of the amount that should be paid as compensation for those lands;
(v) whether there is a move to construct the interchange of Pelpola in another location;
(vi) if so, of the reasons for it; and
(vii) of the government’s position regarding this matter?
(b) If not, why?
