Hon. Chanaka Madugoda,—To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware of the dispute between the employees and the top management of the Galle Port over planting a Bo sapling of the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi to replace the destroyed Bo tree situated within the Galle Port premises;
(ii) of the existing obstacles to plant the Bo sapling referred to above within the Galle Port premises;
(iii) whether steps will be taken to plant the Bo sapling referred to above within the Galle Port premises; and
(iv) of the actions that will be taken to resolve the dispute referred to above?
(b) If not, why?
