Hon. Ajith P. Perera,—To ask the Minister of Justice and National Integration,— (2)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) law under which the Three-Judge Anti-Corruption Permanent High Court in Colombo was established;
(ii) date on which that Court commenced its activities;
(iii) number of cases pending before and concluded by that court, separately; and
(iv) number of cases presented before the court since its inception in respect of each year, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether he admits that the commencement and the continuation of cases in the Three-Judge Anti-Corruption Permanent High Court have become defunct; and
(ii) of the steps that have been taken to expedite the hearing and conclusion of cases related to bribery, financial crimes, and financial corruption?
(c) If not, why?
