Hon. Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam,—To ask the Minister of Urban Development, Construction and Housing,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that a housing scheme named Cey-Nor Housing Scheme was constructed in year 1982 in Kaluwankeni-2 in Eravur Pattu Divisional Secretariat Division of the Batticaloa District;
(ii) whether he is aware that the residents of those houses/lands are facing various difficulties in obtaining electricity supply and drinking water supply to those houses/lands as title deeds have not been issued to them for those lands to date;
(iii) if so, whether steps will be taken to issue title deeds for those houses/lands; and
(iv) of the timeframe for granting those title deeds?
(b) If not, why?
