Hon. Hesha Withanage Ankumbura Arachchi,— To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (2)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of liquor shops existing in Sri Lanka, at present;
(ii) whether he is aware that a court decision has been issued to the effect that when liquor shops are established, they must be at least 100 meters away from places such as temples, churches, mosques, kovils and schools; and
(iii) of the number of liquor shops that have been established as at present in compliance with the aforesaid decision and in violation of the decision, separately?
(b) If not, why?
