Hon. Hesha Withanage Ankumbura Arachchi,—To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the methodology adopted in granting the lands belonging to Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority for large scale projects;
(ii) of the extent of land provided to companies named ‘Dole Lanka’ and ‘Vita Organi’ for banana cultivation in Chandrika Wewa Division of Walawa region, separately; and
(iii) whether he admits the fact that the said lands were not provided following the proper methodology ;
(b) If not, why?
