Hon. Anura Dissanayaka,— To ask the Minister of Transport,—

(a) Will he submit to this House—

(i) the length of the railway line which is being renovated from Galle to Matara; and

(ii) the basis of selection of the company to which the project of renovating the aforesaid railway line has been assigned ?

(b) Will he state—

(i) the persons who are entitled to the ownership of the old rails which have been removed according to the agreements of the aforesaid project;

(ii) whether the removed rails were sold;

(iii) if so, the persons who purchased the aforesaid rails; and

(iv) the price at which the rails were sold and the total amount of money received from the sale ?

(අ) (i) 43 KM

(ii) මෙම දුම්රිය මාර්ගය අලුත්වැඩියා කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය භාර දී ඇති සමාගම තෝරා ගනු ලැබුවේ ජනාධිපති කාර්ය සාධන බලකාය විසින් ඉන්දියානු ‍ඉර්කෝන් වෙත කරන ලද ඉල්ලීමක් අනුවය.

(ආ) (i) මාර්ග හා කර්මාන්ත උප දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වෙතය. (ii), (iii) හා (iv) සඳහා පිළිතුරු පහත දැක්වේ.

එම ව්‍යාපෘතියෙන්ම ඉවත් කරනු ලැබූ බව හඳුනා නොගත් අතර SRSF/6907 යටතේ රේල් පීලි 1,350ක් සඳහා ටෙන්ඩර කැඳවා ඇත. එම ටෙන්ඩරය යටතේ අඩි 01ක් සඳහා රු. 735.00ක් වන සේ බදු සහිතව රු. 51,051,262.50කට නුගේගොඩ මෙල්ඩර් පෙදෙසේ අංක 09 බී. හි පදිංචි දුමින්ද නිර්මාල් කුමාරසිරි යන අයගේ මිල ගණන් අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩල ටෙන්ඩර් අනුමැතිය සඳහා ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇත.
