Hon. Ravi Karunanayake,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,—
(a) Will he state for the period from the year 2006 to 2012 separately, on per year basis—
(i) the amount of funds allocated for giving subsidy for the paddy cultivation ;
(ii) the total paddy harvest of Yala and Maha seasons;
(iii) the average yield per acre in each district; and
(iv) the comparison of the paddy yield in Yala and Maha seasons with the same of the year 2005?
(b) Will he also state whether the subsidies given to the farmers who have helped to increase the production and the yield of paddy in the country?
(c) If not, why?
