2440/2013: ANICUTS OF NILWALA SCHEME : RENOVATION

Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management,—

(a) Will he inform this House—

(i) of the total number of anicuts that belong to the Nilwala Scheme that is operative in Matara District;

(ii) of the locations where they are situated; and

(iii) of the number of dilapidated anicuts out of the aforesaid anicuts, at present ?

(b) Will he state—

(i) whether he is aware of the fact that the farmers have faced a number of difficulties, as the aforesaid dilapidated anicuts have not been renovated;

(ii) if so, whether action will be taken to renovate them;

(iii) whether financial provisions have been made in that regard; and

(iv) if so, the total sum of money, allocated ?

(අ) (i) 157කි.

(ii) කිරල කැලේ ව්‍යාපාරය, කඩවැද්දුව ව්‍යාපාරය, කද්දුව ව්‍යාපාරය සහ අකුරැස්ස ව්‍යාපාරය යන ව්‍යාපාර බල ප්‍රදේශ තුළ පිහිටා ඇත.

(iii) එම අමුණුවලින් එකක්වත් විනාශයට පත් වී නොමැත. එහෙත් එයින් අමුණු 36ක යම් යම් අලුත්වැඩියාවන් (විශේෂයෙන් ගේට්ටු දිරාපත් වීම) කළ යුතුව ඇත.

(ආ) (i) පසෙහි ආම්ලිකතාව අධික වීම, මුහුදු මට්ටමට ආසන්න මට්ටම්වල ඇති කුඹුරුවල ජලය බැස යෑමේ ගැටලු වැනි බරපතළ ස්වාභාවික ගැටලු රැසක් නිල්වලා ව්‍යාපාරයේ සමහර ස්ථානවල (විශේෂයෙන් කිරල කැලේ ව්‍යාපාරය තුළ) ඇත.

එසේ වුවද, අමුණු විනාශයට පත් වීමක් සිදු වී නොමැති නිසා එමඟින් බරපතළ ගැටලු පැන නැඟී නොමැත.

(ii) අලුත්වැඩියා කළ යුතු අමුණු අලුත්වැඩියා කිරීමට දැනටමත් සැලසුම් සකස් කර ඇත.

(iii) ප්‍රතිපාදන වෙන් කර ඇත.

(iv) කිරලකැලේ ව්‍යාපාරයේ අමුණු 8ක අලුත්වැඩියාවන් සඳහා රුපියල් මිලියන 2.6යි.

කඩවැද්දුව ව්‍යාපාරයේ අමුණු 25ක අලුත්වැඩියාවන් සඳහා රුපියල් මිලියන 3යි.

අකුරැස්ස ව්‍යාපාරයේ අමුණු 1ක අලුත්වැඩියාවන් සඳහා රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 4යි.

(ඇ) අදාළ නොවේ.
