Hon. Sajith Premadasa,— To ask the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether action will be taken to grant a cost of living allowance or a fuel subsidy to the fishing community engaged in the fisheries industry in Sri Lanka;
(ii) if so, the procedure that will be followed to implement it;
(iii) of the amount of the financial assistance expected to be provided to each fisherman ;
(iv) of the criteria that have been used to calculate the above mentioned amount ?
(b) If not, why ?
