Hon. Imthiaz Bakeer Markar,— To ask the Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House whether—
(i) he is aware that the people in the estate community face severe difficulties in obtaining birth certificates as registration of new births is not duly carried out by them;
(ii) he admit that a solution be given to the difficulty they are facing due to not having a permanent address; and
(iii) steps be taken to raise their awareness, in their mother tongue, on the importance and necessity of obtaining a birth certificate?
(b) If not, why?
