Hon. Sajith Premadasa,— To ask the Minister of Economic Development ,—
(a) Is he aware that a proposal has been made under the ‘Mahinda Chinthana - A vision for the future’ manifesto that a file containing bio data of each child born in Sri Lanka should be maintained at the Jana Sabha Secretariat relevant to the permanent residence of that child ?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the aforesaid proposal is being implemented at present; and
(ii) if so, the year in which the implementation of the aforesaid proposal was commenced?
(c) If not, why?
