Hon. (Dr.) Kavinda Heshan Jayawardhana,— To ask the Minister of Urban Development and Housing,—
(a) Will he inform this House separately of—
(i) the dates on which development of the cities of Kandy, Galle and Jaffna with foreign aid was commenced;
(ii) the international organizations that had consented to provide aid for the development of each of the said cities;
(iii) the amount that had been provided for the development of each of the said cities; and
(iv) the due date for completion of the development of each of the said cities?
(b) Will he also inform this House of—
(i) the reasons for the delay in the project to develop the said cities;
(ii) the amount of aid lost due to the delay in that project; and
(iii) the measures taken to implement the project under World Bank aid within the scheduled time frame?
(c) If not, why?
