2328/2012: POLICE SECURITY ASSISTANTS: ALLOWANCES

Hon. Sajith Premadasa,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—

(a) Is he aware that Police Security Assistants who perform the same type of duties performed by the Police Officers have been confirmed in the service of Sri Lanka Police Department and made entitled to pensions ?

(b) Will he state whether —

(i) the confirmation of the service of the Police Security Assistants was done in conformity to the recruitment procedure of the Police Department ;

(ii) they will be provided with a proper uniform and the permission for reporting duties in the note book during duty hours be granted to them;

(iii) salary increments, zonal allowances, transport allowances, difficult area service allowance and bata which the Police officers are entitled to have been paid to them from the date of confirmation of service; and

(iv) steps will be taken to grant them those privileges, if they have not been paid ?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, අග්‍රාමාත්‍යතුමා සහ බුද්ධ ශාසන හා ආගමික කටයුතු අමාත්‍යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මා එම ප්‍රශ්නයට පිළිතුර දෙනවා.

(අ) ඔව්.

(ආ) (i) නැත

(ii) මොවුන්ගේ තනතුරු මත ඊට සරිලන පරිදි නිල ඇඳුමක් ලබා දී ඇත. පොලිස් ආරක්ෂක සහායක නිලධාරින්ගේ අධීක්ෂණ නිලධාරියාගේ අභිමතය පරිදි හා සහායක රාජකාරියේ ස්වරූපය අනුව මොවුන් හට තොරතුරු සටහන් පොතේ රාජකාරි වාර්තා කිරීමේ අවසරය ලබා දී ඇත.

(iii) නැත.

(iv) පොලිස් ආරක්ෂක සහායක නිලධාරින් හට පොලිස් බලතල හිමි නොවන බැවින්ද, මොවුන් ප්‍රාථමික සේවා ගණයට අන්තර්ගත වන බැවින්ද 2009.02.20වන දින අංක 1589/30 දරන ගැසට් පත්‍රය මඟින් ප්‍රකාශිත සේවා කොමිෂන් සභා කාර්ය පටිපාටික රීති ප්‍රකාරව මොවුන්ට හිමි වරප්‍රසාද පමණක් දැනට ලබා දීමට හැකි වේ. එසේ වුවද අනුමැතිය සඳහා ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති උසස් වීමේ හා බඳවා ගැනීමේ පටිපාටිය අනුමත වීමෙන් පසුව ඔවුන්ගේ වැටුප් වර්ධක හා අනිකුත් දීමනා ගෙවීමට කටයුතු කරනු ලැබේ.
