Hon. Ravi Karunanayake,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the religions that are venerated in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the names of the 3 oldest shrines for each religion, i.e. Buddhism, Hinduism, Catholicism and Islam in Sri Lanka; and
(iii) as to when each of them were built and the places where they are situated?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the amount of money put into for the restoration of the aforesaid shrines by the government; and
(ii) the action taken by the government to preserve and develop the same?
(c) If not, why?
