Hon. D. Weerasingha— To ask the Minister of Agriculture,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of beneficiaries in the farmers’ pension and social security benefit scheme;
(ii) the grants paid to them from the year 2015 up to now;
(iii) the number of members who have been given membership to this scheme from the year 2015 up to now;
(iv) whether special projects will be implemented to recruit members to the aforesaid scheme and to encourage them; and
(v) whether the money in farmers’ pensions and social security fund is invested in other investments?
(b) If not, why?
