Hon. Imran Maharoof,— To ask the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware of the acquisitions of lands done in the Eastern Province since recent times by the Department of Archeology;
(ii) the objective behind such acquisitions of lands carried out only in the areas where the traditional settlers are mostly minority groups; and
(iii) the objective of getting the involvement of Buddhist temples and Buddhist monks for the administration of the lands that are thus acquired by the Department of Archeology?
(b) If not, why?
