2275/2012: DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE CONSERVATION : VOLUNTEER TRACKERS

Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Minister of Agrarian Services and Wildlife,—

(a) Will he state—

(i) the number of Volunteer Trackers serving in the National Parks, coming under the Department of Wildlife Conservation;

(ii) the responsibilities assigned to them;

(iii) the monthly or daily salary or allowance paid to them; and

(iv) the allowances paid or privileges accorded to them and instances of distress during their service since they are employed in a field related to wild animals ?

(b) Will he inform this House—

(i) of the number of employees who were recruited as voluntary employees and have been confirmed in service as Trackers by now;

(ii) whether unconfirmed Trackers will be confirmed in service; and

(iii) whether arrangements will be made to raise the salary or allowance of those Trackers ?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, ගොවිජන සේවා හා වනජීවී අමාත්‍යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මම එම ප්‍රශ්නයට පිළිතුර දෙනවා.

(අ) (i) 326යි.

(ii) සංචාරකයින්ට මාර්ගෝපදේශකත්වය ලබා දීම ස්වේච්ඡා මාර්ගෝපදේශකයින්ගේ වගකීම හා කාර්ය භාරය වනු ඇත.

(iii) මොවුන් ස්වේච්ඡා සේවය සඳහා බඳවා ගෙන ඇත. කෙසේ වෙතත් ඔවුන් සිදු කරන සේවාව වෙනුවෙන් රුපියල් 500ක දෛනික දීමනාවක් ලබා දෙනු ඇත.

(iv) දැනට එවැනි දීමනා හෝ වරප්‍රසාද ලැබීමට ඔවුන්ට හිමිකමක් නොමැත.

(ආ) (i) ස්වේච්ඡා මාර්ගෝපදේශකයින්ගේ සේවය ස්ථිර කිරීමක් සිදු කර නොමැත. නමුත් වනජීවී සංරක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ පවතින කම්කරු තනතුරු පුරප්පාඩු සඳහා බඳවා ගැනීමේදී ස්වේච්ඡා මාර්ගෝපදේශකයින්ට එම තනතුරු සඳහා අයදුම් කළ හැකිය.

(ii) නැත.

(iii) ස්වේච්ඡා මාර්ගෝපදේශකයින් සඳහා ගෙවන ලද රුපියල් 350ක දෛනික දීමනාව 2012.02.01 දින සිට රුපියල් 500 දක්වා වැඩි කර ඇත.

(ඇ) අදාළ නොවේ.
