Hon. Sajith Premadasa,— To ask the Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities,—
(a) Is he aware that a pledge was made under the Janasevana Programe of “Mahinda Chinthana-Dinavamu Sri Lanka” manifesto that measures would be taken to formulate a housing loan scheme for migrant workers with a 30% contribution made by the government ?
(b) Will he inform this House of —
(i) the year in which the aforesaid housing loan scheme was commenced; and
(ii) the number of families that have obtained loans under this housing loan scheme by now ?
(c) If not, why ?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, ඉදිකිරීම්, ඉංජිනේරු සේවා, නිවාස හා පොදු පහසුකම් අමාත්යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මා එම ප්රශ්නයට පිළිතුර දෙනවා.
(අ) ඔව්.
(ආ) (i) විදේශ රැකියා ප්රවර්ධන හා සුබ සාධන අමාත්යාංශයේ උපදෙස් පරිදි ශ්රී ලංකා විදේශ සේවා නියුක්ති කාර්යාංශය, ශ්රී ලංකා සමෘද්ධි අධිකාරිය සමඟ අවබෝධතා ගිවිසුමක් හරහා ඉලක්ක කණ්ඩායම්වලට ණය ක්රමයක් සකස් කිරීමට 2012 වසරේදී ගිවිසුමක් අත්සන් කර අවතීර්ණ වී ඇත.
(ii) අදාළ නොවේ.
විශේෂයෙන්ම විදේශ රැකියා ප්රවර්ධන හා සුබ සාධන අමාත්යාංශයත්, ඒ වාගේම ඉදිකිරීම්, ඉංජිනේරු සේවා, නිවාස හා පොදු පහසුකම් අමාත්යාංශයත් ඇතුළුව අමාත්යාංශ ගණනාවක් ඒකාබද්ධ වෙලායි මේ කටයුත්ත සිදු කරනු ලබන්නේ. ලබන 12වනදා මේ වැඩසටහනේ මූලික පියවර නිල වශයෙන් ආරම්භ කර මේ අයට නිවාස ලබා දීමේ වැඩ පිළිවෙළ ක්රියාත්මක කරනවා.
