Hon. Ravi Karunanayake,— To ask the Minister of Economic Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House for the last 2 years on per year basis—
(i) the total number of foreign tours made by the Minister and the Deputy Minister of Economic Development separately ;
(ii) the names of the countries visited; and
(iii) the necessity to achieve the objective set in regarding the visits?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the number of officials accompanied by the Minister and the Deputy Minister and the cost incurred for each visit separately; and
(ii) whether the funds used for the aforesaid tours were public money or money granted by the governments of the countries visited?
(c) If not, why?
