Hon. Thushara Indunil Amarasena,— To ask the Minister of Public Security,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of drug related cases that are currently pending in the courts in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the number of persons who appeared as witnesses for the drug related cases and were assassinated on the roads from 01.01.2020 until now;
(iii) whether he is aware that the unarmed peaceful civilians are frightened due to those assassinations; and
(iv) if so, the courses of action taken by the Ministry to control such assassinations?
(b) If not, why?
