Hon. (Mrs.) Rajika Wickramasinghe,— To ask the Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of Sri Lankan women that migrate as housemaids annually, based on each district separately;
(ii) whether service contracts are signed when they thus migrate;
(iii) if so, the validity period of the said contracts; and
(iv) whether any follow up is done by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment in relation to aforementioned housemaids and their families?
(b) If not, why?
