Hon. Mayadunna Chinthaka Amal,— To ask the Minister of Plantation Industries,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the extent of lands in which cashew has been cultivated;
(ii) the annual cashew production;
(iii) whether cashew plants and various concessions will be given to encourage the farmers who engage in cashew cultivation; and
(iv) the actions that will be taken to promote cashew cultivation;
with respect to Puttalam district?
(b) If not, why?
