Hon. Mayadunna Chinthaka Amal,— To ask the Minister of Public Security,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of National Identity Cards issued so far in Sri Lanka;
(ii) the number of Electronic Identity Cards issued out of them;
(iii) whether steps will be taken to issue Electronic Identity Cards for all citizens of Sri Lanka; and
(iv) if so, the time period in which the said process is expected to be completed?
(b) If not, why?
