Hon. Ishak Rahuman,— To ask the Minister of Women, Child Affairs and Social Empowerment,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of Samurdhi relief recipients within the Anuradhapura District at present;
(ii) of the number of Samurdhi relief recipients who have been empowered by now of that District;
(iii) whether he is aware that there are a large number of families who have tendered applications expecting to obtain Samurdhi relief;
(iv) whether the steps will be taken to grant Samurdhi relief to such families; and
(v) if so, on what date?
(b) If not, why?
