Hon. Rohana Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the current Management of the Education Employees Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society Ltd., is trying to introduce a lottery; and
(ii) an attempt is being made to charge a sum of 100 rupees for it without the consent of the members of the aforesaid society?
(b) Will he inform this House of the steps that will be taken by the Ministry in regard to the allocation for a lottery the money kept for granting loans to the Members?
(c) If not, why?
