Hon. Rohana Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of applicants that have submitted applications for obtaining loans from the Education Employees Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society Ltd. from the year 2018 up to now;
(ii) the number of applicants to whom loans have been granted by now out of the applicants mentioned above; and
(iii) the steps that will be taken to grant loans expeditiously to the applicants to whom loans have not been granted out of the applicants mentioned in (i) above?
(b) If not, why?
