Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government,—
(a) Is he aware of the fact that—
(i) the playground of Weraduwa Bandaranayake Vidyalaya in Matara was used by the sportsmen in that area for trainings; and
(ii) the former Divisional Secretary has provided the said land for a Business purpose?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether tenders had been called when the above mentioned land was provided;
(ii) if so, the date on which the tenders were called;
(iii) the names of each of the persons who submitted the tenders and the value of each tender, separately; and
(iv) the name, address and the contact number of the person/institute who/which received the tender, separately?
(c) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether the above mentioned playground will be given back to people in this area for sports purposes; and
(ii) if so, the date on which it will be given back?
(d) If not, why?
