Hon. Wasantha Yapabandara, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) separately, the number of National Schools, Junior Schools and Primary Schools in Kandy district;
(ii) separately, the number of students who study in each of the aforesaid types of schools and the number of teachers, employed;
(iii) whether the schools where there is an excess and a shortage of teachers have been identified separately, from aforesaid schools; and
(iv) that measures that have been taken to overcome the shortage of teachers in schools where there is a shortage?
(b) If not, why?
