Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Ports and Highways,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) even though survey activities were done and estimates were made to construct a bridge over the Kirindiganga adjacent to the Malwaththawela school lane in the Wellawaya Divisional Secretariat Division in Moneragala District connecting a number of villages the bridge has not been constructed so far; and
(ii) the people in a number of villages face immense hardships owing to the non availability of a bridge at that place?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether plans have been made to construct the aforesaid bridge;
(ii) whether provisions have been allocated for that purpose; and
(iii) if so, the amount of money so allocated?
(c) If not, why?
