Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Education,—

(a) Is he aware that—

(i) MR/Kudapana Junior School administered by the Mulatiyana Divisional Education Office in Matara District has been closed for nearly ten years;

(ii) the buildings belonging to the school are decaying at present; and

(iii) various individuals make efforts to encroach upon the land belonging to the school?

(b) Will he inform this House—

(i) whether action will be taken to utilize the land and the aforesaid buildings belonging to the MR/Kudapana Junior School for any other productive economic activity; and

(ii) if so, of the purpose that the school is expected to be utilized?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, එම ප්‍රශ්නයට පිළිතුර මෙසේයි.

(අ) (i) මීට වසර දහයකට පෙර වුවමනාවෙන් වසා දැමීමක් කර නැති බවත් ශිෂ්‍ය සංඛ්‍යාව නොමැති වීම නිසා එකී පාසල වැසී ගිය බවත් එම අධ්‍යාපන කාර්යාලය විසින් දන්වා එවා තිබෙනවා.

කුඩාපාන කනිෂ්ඨ විද්‍යාලය නමින් වසර දහයකට පෙර පාසලක් පැවතී නොමැති අතර 271-B කුඩාපාන ග්‍රාම නිලධාරි වසම තුළ මාර/ගොම්බද්දල නැ‍ඟෙනහිර කනිෂ්ඨ විද්‍යාලය නමින් පාසලක් තිබී එය 2003.01.01 දින සිට සිසුන් නොමැතිකමින් වැසී ඇත.

(ii) එම පාසලට අයත් ගොඩනැඟිලි හා අනෙකුත් දේපළ 2010.03.12 දින මුලටියන ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් වෙත බාර දී ඇත.

(iii) අදාළ නොවේ. ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් ඒ පිළිබඳව වග කීම දැරිය යුතුයි.

(ආ) (i) අදාළ නොවේ.

(ii) අදාළ නොවේ.
