Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Health,—

(a) Is he aware that due to the current shortage of physical resources at Chilaw General Hospital situated in Puttlam District, the people of the area face severe difficulties in obtaining health services?

(b) Will he state—

(i) whether action will be taken to address the shortcomings that exist at Chilaw General Hospital speedily and improve health facilities provided to the people of that area;

(ii) whether plans have been made for that purpose by now; and

(iii) if so, whether the necessary provisions have been allocated?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මා එම ප්‍රශ්නයට පිළිතුරු දෙනවා.

(අ) හලාවත මහ රෝහල මධ්‍ය රජයට පවරා ගැනීමෙන් පසුව රෝහලේ යටිතල පහසුකම් සංවර්ධනය කිරීම සඳහා කටයුතු සිදු කෙරෙමින් පවතී.

(ආ) (i) ඔව්.

* ගිලන් රථ තුනක් ඊයේ පෙරේදා අපි ලබා දුන්නා. හෘද රෝග සායන ආරම්භ කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ECG යන්ත්‍ර, Echo යන්ත්‍ර ආදිය ලබා දීමට කටයුතු සිදු කරමින් පවතින අතර, වාට්ටුවල කැඩී බිඳී තිබූ වැසිකිළි, රෝගීන්ට අවශ්‍ය රෝද පුටු, ට්‍රොලී ආදිය නවීකරණය කර ඇත.

* රෝහලට අවශ්‍ය වෛද්‍ය උපකරණ (මිලියන 80ක් පමණ වටිනා) ලබා දී ඇති අතර ගැබිණි මවුවරුන්ට දරු ප්‍රසූතිය ආරක්ෂිතව සිදු කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය උපකරණ ලබා දී ඇත.

(ii) ඔව්.

දැනට රෝහලේ නව ශල්‍යාගාර වාට්ටු සංකීර්ණය ඉදිකිරීම - construction of new surgical ward complex - සහ වෛද්‍ය වාට්ටු සංකීර්ණය ඉදිකිරීම - construction of new medical ward complex - සම්බන්ධව යෝජනා, ජාතික සැලසුම් අංශයේ අනුමැතිය හා නිර්දේශ ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇත.

(iii) 2013 වසරට වෛද්‍ය වාට්ටු සංකීර්ණය ඉදිකිරීමේ - construction of new medical ward complex - ව්‍යාපෘතියේ කටයුතු ආරම්භ කිරීම සඳහා රු:15,000,000.00ක ප්‍රතිපාදන වෙන් කර ඇත.

(ඇ) පැන නොනඟී.
