Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Transport,—
(a) Is he aware that though the construction works of the railway line from Matara to Kataragama have been initiated on a number of occasions, that had not been completed up to now?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the estimated cost for the construction works of the railway line from Matara to Kataragama; and
(ii) the name of the local or the foreign institution that provides the allocations for the construction works of the said railway line?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether expedite measures will be taken to resume the constructions of Matara Kataragama railway line after looking into the causes of the delay; and
(ii) if so, when ?
(d) If not, why?
