Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils,—
(a) Is he aware that the building and the machinery of the Textile Centre located in Kapuduwa in the Thihagoda Divisional Secretariat Division in Matara District are decaying at present ?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether arrangements will be made to resume operations of this training centre by utilizing the resources at its disposal; and
(ii) if not, whether arrangements will he made to utilize this place for a Vocational Training Centre or some other purpose?
(c) If not, why?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, පළාත් පාලන හා පළාත් සභා අමාත්යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මා එම ප්රශ්නයට පිළිතුරු දෙනවා.
(අ) පේශකර්ම මධ්යස්ථානයේ උපකරණ සියල්ල ඉවත් කර ආරක්ෂිතව තබා ඇති අතර, ගොඩනැඟිල්ල අලුත්වැඩියා කර ප්රයෝජනයට ගැනීම සඳහා ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් වෙත පවරා ඇත.
(ආ) (i) දකුණු පළාත් අමාත්ය මණ්ඩල තීරණයක් අනුව ගොඩනැඟිල්ල පොදු කටයුත්තක් සඳහා ප්රයෝජනයට ගැනීමට තිහගොඩ ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් වෙත භාර දීමට තීරණය කර ඇත.
(ii) ඉහත පිළිතුර අනුව අදාළ නොවේ.
