Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) G/Ramadola Kanishta Vidyalaya at Imbulpitiya, which came under the Elpitiya Zonal Education Office in Galle District, was closed several years ago and as a result its buildings and other resources are getting destroyed at present ; and
(ii) the land on which the aforesaid school has been built is currently at the risk of being encroached by neighbours?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether steps will be taken to stop the encroachment of the school land ;
(ii) whether a plan has been made to use the land and the buildings of G/Ramadola Kanishta Vidyalaya for some other productive activity ;
(iii) if so, what that plan is ; and
(iv) whether allocation have been made for that purpose?
(c) If not, why?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, එම ප්රශ්නයට පිළිතුර මෙසේයි.
ගාල්ල දිස්ත්රික්කයේ ඇල්පිටිය කලාප අධ්යාපන කාර්යාලයට අයත්ව තිබූ ඉඹුල්පිටිය, ගා/ රාමදොල කනිෂ්ඨ විද්යාලය සිසුන් නොමැති වීම නිසා වැසී ගොස් ඇත. එම පාසල 2005 මැයි 12 දින ඇල්පිටිය ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් වෙත භාර දී ඇත.
දැනට මෙම පාසල පවතින භූමිය හා ගොඩනැඟිලි අධ්යාපන අමාත්යාංශයට අයත් දේපළක් නොවේ. එම භූමියෙහි ආරක්ෂාව හා සංවර්ධනය පිළිබඳ වගකීම ඇත්තේ ඇල්පිටිය ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් වෙතය.
