1897/2012: UDAWELIPITITHALAWA JUNCTION - HORANGALLA ROAD : SUBSTANDARD CONSTRUCTION

Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Ports and Highways,—

(a) Is he aware—

(i) that the layer of concrete laid on the road from Udawelipitithalawa junction to Horangalla in the Nagoda Divisional Secretariat area in Galle District has peeled off and pot holes have appeared on the road by now; and

(ii) that laying of concrete on the aforesaid road has been done without following proper standards?

(b) Will he state—

(i) the length and the width of the aforesaid road that was laid with concrete;

(ii) the total amount of money spent for laying concrete; and

(iii) the name of the institution or institutions that provided funds for the aforesaid purpose ?

(i) of the name of the contractor who carried out the laying of concrete on the aforesaid road;

(ii) whether a report from the technical officer was obtained before payments were made to the contractor;

(iii) whether a formal investigation regarding the laying of concrete on the aforesaid road will be conducted;

(iv) whether action will be taken to get the aforesaid road renovated by the contractor or to use some other allocation to get it done; and

(v) if so, the period of time required for it ?

(d) If not, why ?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, වරාය හා මහාමාර්ග අමාත්‍යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මා එම ප්‍රශ්නයට පිළිතුර දෙනවා.

(අ) (i) උඩවැලිපිටිතලාව හන්දියේ සිට හොරන්ගල්ල දක්වා මාර්ගයේ තලාව සිට උඩවැලිපිටිතලාව මෝදරගම සුදර්ශනාරාම විහාරස්ථානය දක්වා මීටර් 485ක් 2008 වර්ෂයේදී කොන්ක්‍රීට් කර ඇත. මේ වන විට ස්ථාන කීපයක පලුදු වීම් සිදු වී ඇති බව වාර්තා වී ඇත.

(ii) ස්ථාන කීපයක කොන්ක්‍රීට් ඇතිරීම ප්‍රමිතියට අනුකූල නොවන බව පසුව හෙළි වී ඇත.

(ආ) (i) දිග මීටර් 485 පළල මීටර් 3

(ii) මේ සඳහා ඇස්තමේන්තු මුදල රුපියල් මිලියන 2.6යි.

ගෙවීම් කර ඇති මුදල රුපියල් 1,711,740.96යි.

රඳවා ගෙන ඇති මුදල රුපියල් 198,126.41

(iii) මහාමාර්ග අමාත්‍යාංශය.

(ඇ) (i) ඊ.එච්. ලයනල් මහතා.

(ii) අදාළ ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාව සහ මාර්ග සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියේ කාර්මික නිලධාරින්ගේ වාර්තා ලැබී ඇත.

(iii) මැතිවරණ කොට්ඨාසයේ ගරු සංවිධායකතුමාගේ කාලයේ ඉල්ලීමක් පරිදි පරීක්ෂණයක් කර මෙම මාර්ගයේ වැඩ නවතා ඇත.

(iv) නැවත ඇස්තමේන්තු කර ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනු ඇත.

(v) 2013 වසර තුළ.

(ඇ) පැන නොනඟී.
