Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils,—

(a) Is he aware that although a period of more than two years have elapsed since the foundation stone was laid for the reconstruction of the Ambalangoda rest house in Galle District after its buildings had been demolished, the aforesaid construction work has not yet been commenced?

(b) Will he inform this House—

(i) of the reasons for stopping the reconstruction work of the aforesaid rest house halfway ;

(ii) whether allocations have been made for the aforesaid construction ; and

(iii) if so, the amount of money that has been allocated?

(i) as to how the Ruhunu Tourist Office got powers to demolish the aforesaid buildings which belong to the Ambalangoda Urban Council ;

(ii) whether the aforesaid construction work will be recommenced ; and

(iii) if so, the date on which it will be done?

(d) If not, why?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, පළාත් පාලන හා පළාත් සභා අමාත්‍යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මම ඒ ප්‍රශ්නයට පිළිතුරු දෙනවා.

(අ) ඔව්.

(ආ) (i) රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශය මඟින් 2009 ජූලි 28 දින මුල් ගල තබා ආරම්භ කළ අම්බලන්ගොඩ තානායම් ගොඩනැඟිල්ලේ වැඩ කටයුතු මූල්‍ය ප්‍රතිපාදන නොලැබීම මත අතරමඟ නතර වී ඇත.

(ii) නැත.

(iii) පැන නොනඟී.

(ඇ) (i) නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියේ වැඩ බලන සභාපතිගේ 2008.03.28 දිනැති ලිපිය මඟින් අම්බලන්ගොඩ තානායම ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කිරීම, පවත්වා ගෙන යාම හා නඩත්තු කිරීම පිණිස දකුණු පළාත් සභාව වෙත පැවරීමට එම ආයතනයේ කළමනාකරණ රැස්වීමේදී තීරණය කර ඇති බව ගරු ප්‍රධාන අමාත්‍යතුමා වෙත දැනුම් දී ඇත. ඒ අනුව එහි කළමනාකාරිත්වයේ අයිතිය තවදුරටත් නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරිය සතුව තබා ගැනීමේ අරමුණින් ගිවිසුමක් අත්සන් කිරීමට යටත්ව 2008.06.09 දින එහි කායික බුක්තිය දකුණු පළාත් සභාවේ රුහුණු කාර්යාංශය වෙත නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරිය විසින් පවරා ඇත.

(ii) රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශයට පවරා ගන්නා ලද අම්බලන්ගොඩ තානායම නැවත දකුණු පළාත් අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩල තීරණ අංක 608:5 අනුව රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශය විසින් නැවත අම්බලන්ගොඩ නගර සභාව වෙත පවරා දීමට අනුමත කර ඇත. ඒ අනුව අම්බලන්ගොඩ නගර සභාව විසින් නැවත ටෙන්ඩර් කැඳවා සුදුසු ආයෝජකයකු තෝරාගෙන ඇති අතර ඉදිරි කටයුතු සිදු කිරීමට නියමිතව ඇත.

(iii) ගිවිසුම් අත්සන් කළ වහාම
