Hon. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam,— To ask the Minister of Finance and Planning ,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the main objective of implementing “Mathata Thitha” programme under the Mahinda Chinthana policy framework ;
(ii) of the number of liquor licences issued on district basis for the sale of liquor, in each year from the date of implementation of “Mathata Thitha” programme up to now ;
(iii) separately, of liquor sold in each year within the last five years ; and
(iv) of the progress achieved through the implementation of “Mathata Thitha” programme within the last few years?
(b) If not, why ?
