Hon. Palitha Range Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade,—
(a) Is he aware that the Multipurpose Co-operative Society of Puttalam has conducted a sale of lotteries in year 2009?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the number of tickets printed for the lottery;
(ii) the number of tickets sold out of them; and
(iii) the total income earned through the sale of those lottery tickets?
(c) Will he inform this house—
(i) whether a draw has been held in relation to the above lottery sale;
(ii) if so, the names of the winners of the draw;
(iii) if a draw has not been held, the reasons for it; and
(iv) of the courses of action to be followed for not holding a draw up to now?
(d) If not, why?
